Unlike standard reverbs, the Strymon NightSky features a voice interval engine that responds to MIDI notes.
Here, we sequence root and fifth intervals on the grid (C3, G3, D#3, A#2). Instead of triggering a synth tone, these notes instruct the NightSky to transpose its internal pitch-shimmer buffer to harmonic intervals in real-time.

Step 1: Harmonic Pitch Intervals
Unlike standard reverbs, the **Strymon NightSky** features a voice interval engine that responds to MIDI notes.
Here, we sequence root and fifth intervals on the grid (**C3**, **G3**, **D#3**, **A#2**). Instead of triggering a synth tone, these notes instruct the NightSky to transpose its internal pitch-shimmer buffer to harmonic intervals in real-time.
Step 2: Adding Shimmer Modulation (CC 29)
Next, we introduce dynamic **Voice Shimmer Level** (MIDI CC 29).
By modulating the shimmer parameter upward on steps 5 through 8 and 13 through 16, the reverb blooms into crystalline upper-octave overtones right as the harmonic chord transitions.
Step 3: Dynamic Mix & Decay Sweep (CC 11 & CC 18)
Finally, we layer **Reverb Mix** (CC 11) and **Decay Length** (CC 18) automation.
We start with a tight, direct room reverb (Mix 40, Decay 50) and sweep the decay to maximum on the 16th step to wash the phrase into a vast, celestial tail before the loop repeats.
