💡 How to configure the Arturia MiniFreak MIDI Editorâ–ŧ

To control your Arturia MiniFreak from your web browser, connect your synth to your computer using a USB cable or a dedicated USB-to-MIDI interface.

Open the MIDI Settings panel above, set the Output Port to your connected MiniFreak device, and select the correct MIDI channel (default is channel 1). Once configured, you can map the MIDI CC layout sliders, draw automated parameter curves, and edit patches in real-time without installing any software.

â„šī¸ How MIDI CC Sync Works

MIDI CC is a one-way push protocol. Synthesizers cannot be queried dynamically to read their current parameter values. To synchronize these sliders, select your synthesizer's MIDI Input Port above. When you physically tweak knobs on your synth, the slider positions will instantly update on-screen to match.

Firmware & Help Reference

Firmware Version Details

Latest Stable:v2.0.0

MiniFreak v2.0 firmware adds a new Wavetable engine, custom LFO shaper modes, and improved VST/Hardware sync.

MIDI Troubleshooting

🚨 High-pitched noise or hum when using USB

This is typically caused by a USB ground loop. Power the MiniFreak using its official DC adapter, and if connection to a computer is required, use a USB isolator or ground-isolated hub.

🚨 MiniFreak V VST parameters do not sync

Ensure that the hardware firmware version and the MiniFreak V VST software version match exactly. Update both via Arturia Software Center.
