microKORG
The Korg microKORG is the world's best-selling analog modeling (DSP) synthesizer and vocoder. Powered by Korg's DSP synthesis engine, it provides 4-voice polyphony, dual multi-waveform oscillators with DWGS waveforms, resonant multi-mode filters, dual ADSR envelopes, dual LFOs, a virtual patch matrix, an 8-band vocoder with gooseneck microphone, and extensive MIDI CC automation.
đĄ How to configure the Korg microKORG in closeby.oneâŧ
To connect your Korg microKORG to your web browser, connect your synth using a USB cable or a dedicated USB-to-MIDI interface.
Open the MIDI Settings panel above, set the Output Port to your connected microKORG device, and select the correct MIDI channel (default is channel 1). Once configured, you can map the MIDI CC layout sliders, draw automated parameter curves, and edit patches in real-time without installing any software.

MIDI Troubleshooting
đ¨ Notes triggering twice or stuck phasing notes (MIDI echo)
When sequencing the microKORG from closeby.one or a DAW with MIDI In and Out cables connected, turn 'Local Control' OFF. Turn the Edit Select 2 dial to 'GLOBAL', press key 3 (LOCAL), and use the Dial to set the display to 'oFF'. This prevents the keyboard from directly triggering the internal sound engine twice.
đ¨ Connecting the microKORG to a computer (No USB port)
The original microKORG only features 5-Pin DIN MIDI ports (In, Out, Thru). Use a dedicated class-compliant USB-to-MIDI DIN interface (such as a Roland UM-ONE or standard audio interface MIDI jacks). Connect Interface MIDI OUT to microKORG MIDI IN.
đ¨ Setting MIDI receive channel on the microKORG
Turn the Edit Select 2 dial to 'MIDI'. Parameter 1 on the display shows the current MIDI Global Channel (1â16). Turn Knob 1 to select your desired channel.
