The Moog Messenger is a monophonic analog synthesizer featuring dual variable-waveform oscillators with wavefolding, a multi-mode ladder filter with Res-Bass compensation, and a 64-step sequencer. It supports high-resolution 14-bit MIDI CC control.

💡 How to configure the Moog Messenger MIDI Editorâ–ŧ

To control your Moog Messenger from your web browser, connect your synth to your computer using a USB cable or a dedicated USB-to-MIDI interface.

Open the MIDI Settings panel above, set the Output Port to your connected Messenger device, and select the correct MIDI channel (default is channel 1). Once configured, you can map the MIDI CC layout sliders, draw automated parameter curves, and edit patches in real-time without installing any software.

â„šī¸ How MIDI CC Sync Works

MIDI CC is a one-way push protocol. Synthesizers cannot be queried dynamically to read their current parameter values. To synchronize these sliders, select your synthesizer's MIDI Input Port above. When you physically tweak knobs on your synth, the slider positions will instantly update on-screen to match.

Firmware & Help Reference

Firmware Version Details

Latest Stable:v1.0.0

First release firmware for the Moog Messenger. Customize modulation parameters and manage libraries via the Preset Editor software.

MIDI Troubleshooting

🚨 Erratic or sudden parameter jumps in DAW or controller

The Messenger defaults to high-resolution 14-bit MIDI (sending MSB and LSB CCs). If your DAW or controller only supports standard 7-bit MIDI, disable 14-bit mode in the Messenger's Config Menu (Page 3, Item 5) or by using PGM button 5.
