💡 How to configure the Novation Peak MIDI Editorâ–ŧ

To control your Novation Peak from your web browser, connect your synth to your computer using a USB cable or a dedicated USB-to-MIDI interface.

Open the MIDI Settings panel above, set the Output Port to your connected Peak device, and select the correct MIDI channel (default is channel 1). Once configured, you can map the MIDI CC layout sliders, draw automated parameter curves, and edit patches in real-time without installing any software.

â„šī¸ How MIDI CC Sync Works

MIDI CC is a one-way push protocol. Synthesizers cannot be queried dynamically to read their current parameter values. To synchronize these sliders, select your synthesizer's MIDI Input Port above. When you physically tweak knobs on your synth, the slider positions will instantly update on-screen to match.

MIDI Troubleshooting

🚨 USB MIDI Recognition Failure

If your DAW loses connection to the Peak, avoid connecting through external passive USB hubs. Connect directly to a native USB port on your machine using a shielded USB-B cable.

🚨 Controls Unresponsive (No Local Parameter Control)

If turning physical knobs does not affect the sound output but sends MIDI signals, Local Control is turned off. Press 'Settings', navigate to the MIDI menu, and switch 'Local' to ON.
