The Roland AIRA Compact S-1 Tweak Synth is a 4-voice polyphonic micro-synth inspired by the classic SH-101. It combines ACB modeling with a powerful sequencer, draw oscillators, custom effects, and D-Motion sensors.

💡 How to configure the Roland S-1 Tweak Synth MIDI Editorâ–ŧ

To control your Roland S-1 Tweak Synth from your web browser, connect your synth to your computer using a USB cable or a dedicated USB-to-MIDI interface.

Open the MIDI Settings panel above, set the Output Port to your connected S-1 Tweak Synth device, and select the correct MIDI channel (default is channel 1). Once configured, you can map the MIDI CC layout sliders, draw automated parameter curves, and edit patches in real-time without installing any software.

â„šī¸ How MIDI CC Sync Works

MIDI CC is a one-way push protocol. Synthesizers cannot be queried dynamically to read their current parameter values. To synchronize these sliders, select your synthesizer's MIDI Input Port above. When you physically tweak knobs on your synth, the slider positions will instantly update on-screen to match.

Firmware & Help Reference

Firmware Version Details

Latest Stable:v1.02

Update the firmware to enable optimized sync options and resolve MIDI clock delay bugs.

MIDI Troubleshooting

🚨 Default MIDI channel is not responding

The S-1 synth engine responds to MIDI Channel 3 by default, and Program Changes are handled on Channel 16. You can change this in the system settings: press [SHIFT] + [MENU], navigate to 'MIDI Ch', and adjust the channel.

🚨 MIDI TRS connection is silent or not working

The S-1 uses Type-A 3.5mm TRS MIDI ports. If you are using a 3.5mm TRS adapter, ensure it is wired for MIDI Association Type-A standards, as Type-B adapters (used by Arturia older gear or Novation) will not transmit MIDI correctly.
