💡 How to configure the Strymon BigSky MIDI Editor▼

To control your Strymon BigSky from your web browser, connect your synth to your computer using a USB cable or a dedicated USB-to-MIDI interface.

Open the MIDI Settings panel above, set the Output Port to your connected BigSky device, and select the correct MIDI channel (default is channel 1). Once configured, you can map the MIDI CC layout sliders, draw automated parameter curves, and edit patches in real-time without installing any software.

ℹ️ How MIDI CC Sync Works

MIDI CC is a one-way push protocol. Synthesizers cannot be queried dynamically to read their current parameter values. To synchronize these sliders, select your synthesizer's MIDI Input Port above. When you physically tweak knobs on your synth, the slider positions will instantly update on-screen to match.

MIDI Troubleshooting

🚨 Pedal does not respond to MIDI messages

Verify the MIDI channel on your track matches the BigSky's channel. Access GLOBALS menu by holding VALUE knob, scroll to MIDI CH, press VALUE, and set channel (default is 1). Ensure MIDI cables are connected to MIDI IN.

🚨 Presets do not switch correctly

Ensure MIDI Program Change (PC) is enabled in GLOBALS > MIDI RX (must be set to ON). Check that your MIDI message bank number is set correctly (CC #0 bank change).
